Position within the Church: Vicar.
How long have you been a Christian? Since 1979 (29 years).
How and why did you become a Christian? Around Easter 1979, after about 2 years of searching to find out whether God was real or not, I attended a University mission at Lancaster. As the speaker preached on the facts & meaning of the cross & resurrection of Jesus, God suddenly revealed to me that Jesus Christ was alive & that he was my Saviour & Lord. I went back to my room, knelt at my bedside, invited Jesus into my life & promised Him that I would follow Him for the rest of my life. So far, I have kept my promise & He has been wonderfully faithful to me & our family.
What are your hobbies and interests? Playing football & tennis competitively & I enjoy sport in general. I enjoy walking & holidays. I enjoy watching films. If I have time I enjoy reading Christian books. We have a pet dog called Sam.
Do you have any family who attend church? My wife Nicky & sons Stephen & Michael attend this Church. Our daughter Rachel has just moved to Milton Keynes and is worshipping in a Church there.
What are your aspirations for All Saints’ Church for the next 12 months? To see the new staff team gel & to see the congregation grow.
What are your long-term desires for All Saints’ Church? To see it continue to flourish in its mission to the local community & to see it continue to be a Church that helps to resource others.
Finally, what has been the best advice/guidance that somebody has given you as a Christian? Love your neighbour as yourself & do to others as you would like them to do to you. I can’t remember who said it but it was great advice!!
